Matt finished his Bar Mitzvah, and his project in late August.
The Bar Mitzvah boy is to demonstrate dedication to his community by doing
a service project. Matt chose to repair a 100 ft marsh bridge on
the AT!! It turned out to be a lot of work, lots of mud, I mean fun, several
scouts helped him as well. The bridge was leaking oil from old phone
poles, and wasn't very dry or safe. We met some very intreasting
people hiking from Georga to Maine, a few even offered to help.
I know his studies took away a lot of time from scouting last year,
and we missed a few events, so I thought I would show off his accomplishment.
Matt also lead the Temples services, Friday night and Satuday 8/24-25 he
did a great job.
