Clothing should be nylon, polyester, or wool.

A neck cover

Long-sleeved shirt and long pants to keep off the sun.

A full-size fleece jacket for the cold.

Sneakers are OK instead of hiking boots.

The best Aquashoes have a tie-off in the back to secure them to your foot.

A swimsuit.

Gear
-
A head net, just a bag, no hoop (spring-ring) for easy packing.

Bug repellent liquid (no spray) should have DEET, e.g. Deep Woods Off or
Cutter.

Lip balm.

A good sleeping bag would go down to 25 degrees. Temperatures can
drop into the 30s in the summer.

Two 32-oz. water bottles, one for drinking and one for purifying.

Two heavy-duty garbage bags, at least 3 mils and six zip ties to wrap up
your pack, e.g. Berkley & Jensen Contractor Clean-up Bags (42 gal.)
sold at BJ's along the left wall.

Zipper lock bags (not zip-lock, you want the plastic zipper that slides),
e.g. a double box of Hefty Jumbo 2.5 gal. OneZip bags sold at BJ's near
the back on the right.

In the Zipper bags put one day of clothes each, put your name on,
and squeeze out the air.

A day pack or a fanny pack.

A hot cup and a small cup to go with your spoon or fork. No mess
kit.

Gloves.
-
Towel can be a yard-square shammy camp towel, very lightweight.

Toothpaste if peroxide and baking soda will not have to go in the bear
bag.

No deodorant.
-
Optional small pillow.

Optional 1-pound aluminum camp seat.

Optional sleeping pad, best is self inflating.

No candy or gum.
