Our troop marched in the parade.  One Brownie Troop stood on a platform connected to the back of an SUV and threw out candy to people.  The YHS band played the Star Spangled Banner and the mottos of the different armed forces for the assembly at the downtown track.  The American Legion and VFW supplied food after the assembly.
