Troop 174

Thunderbird Games
Oct. 17-19, 2003

........

Theodore M., James M., and I volunteered to help out at the Thunderbird Games.  Theodore and I helped the Cub Scouts cross the monkey bridge.  James went later with Theodore to help with the bouncing house while I continued to help out at the monkey bridge.  Pat P. came with his police dog to talk about the K-9 unit.

The theme this year was superheros.  The audience voted for their favorite superheros, the adults chose batman while the kids chose spiderman.

The staff food was awesome.  The hamburgers were enormous.  The hamburgers were not just meat and a bun, you could actually put onions, lettuce, sauteed onions, and tomatoes on them.  The french fries were freshly made right in front of you with a french frying machine hooked up to a generator.  The Military Police who were security staff at the event appreciated the food.

The sun came out right before the games started, but in the morning it was foggy and there was a cold rain.
